A chemical peel is best done in winter. This is the best time of year to do chemical peels, which, among other things, lighten the skin. If you are left with remnants of discolouration, freckles or spots after the summer and want to get rid of them, you should do it in winter or early spring.

Indications for chemical peels

Pigmented lesions:
- freckles
- chloasma
- post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
- lentigines

Sun damage:
- solar keratosis

Age-related damage:
- wrinkles
- loss of skin firmness
- scars
- comedonal, papulopustular acne
- Stretch marks

Keratosis disorders:
- dryness of the skin
- follicular keratosis

Contraindications to the procedure are:

- skin allergies
- herpes (active)
- a tendency to scarring
- condition after facial surgery (up to 2 months)
- pregnancy
- breastfeeding
- state after cryotherapy (up to 6 months)
- autoimmune diseases (collagenosis, pemphigus)
- irritated, damaged skin (erosions, wounds, abrasions)
- oral therapy with vitamin A derivatives (Roaccutane, Izotec, Curracne - 6 months after completion of treatment)
- one week before peeling do not use: depilation, electrolysis, dermabrasion, external retinoids, preparations irritating the face skin
- men should not shave the day before the procedure
- do not sunbathe at least 3 weeks before the planned treatment
