Platelet-rich plasma

The procedure is also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), vampire lift, blood mesotherapy, plasma. Platelet rich plasma is a concentration of platelets in a small volume of plasma. It is obtained by centrifugation of blood taken directly from the patient prior to treatment.

The treatment should be applied in a series of 3 or 4 injections on the face, neck, décolleté or other areas requiring regeneration. The number of treatments and the interval between them are determined after consultation.

The treatment is indicated for people who want to make:

- skin revitalisation,
- improving skin tone,
- improve blood supply to the skin,
- increase the elasticity and tone of the skin,
- smooth and plump up fine lines and wrinkles
- strengthen and nourish hair follicles

What the treatment looks like

Each treatment consists of 3 stages:

Stage I - blood collection.
A patient presenting for platelet-rich plasma treatment does not need to be fasting. Blood for the test is drawn in a sitting position or, in particularly sensitive patients, in a lying position. Blood is drawn from a vein.

Stage II - obtaining platelet-rich concentrate.
Blood collected in a sterile manner is placed in a special separator (container for obtaining PRP). The collected material is then centrifuged in a laboratory centrifuge.

Stage III - administration of platelet-rich concentrate.
Platelet-rich plasma in aesthetic medicine is administered by injection of activated plasma using the classic mesotherapy technique, linearly along wrinkles or skin folds

Correctly collected blood, centrifuged and correctly performed, the procedure carries no risk of dangerous complications.
